This spring, Housing Catalyst was able to renew a tradition that had been paused by the pandemic. Fort Collins Police joined residents as Mason Place and Redtail Ponds for some good food and great conversations.
Redtail Ponds began hosting the “trust-building barbecues” to give residents and law enforcement a chance to get to know each other under non-emergency circumstances. This year Housing Catalyst’s second Permanent Supportive Housing community, Mason Place, was able to get in on the tradition.
Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is an innovative program that combines affordable housing with supportive services to offer stable, long-term homes. PSH targets people who have experienced homelessness, have one or more disabilities, experience multiple barriers to housing, and need supportive services. With a safe place to call home, residents have more time and space to address mental health, physical health and other needs.
