On June 9, 2026, Housing Catalyst celebrated a major milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for Village on Eastbrook, a new community bringing 73 homes with affordable rents to Southeast Fort Collins. Around 50 guests joined us for the occasion, including local and state officials, community partners, and supporters who share our commitment to expanding housing access in Northern Colorado.

We are grateful to the speakers who lent their voices to this moment and helped mark the occasion:

  • Julie Brewen, Chief Executive Officer, Housing Catalyst
  • Lizette Mill, Chairperson, Board of Commissioners, Housing Catalyst
  • Yara Zokaie, Representative, House District 52
  • Thomas Bryan, Executive Director and CEO, CHFA
  • Tyler Jaeckel, Director, Colorado Division of Housing
  • Emily Francis, Mayor, City of Fort Collins
  • Kristin Fritz, Chief Real Estate Officer, Housing Catalyst

Their presence and words reflected the broad coalition of support that makes a project like this possible, and the shared belief that every member of our community deserves a safe, quality place to call home.

When complete, Village on Eastbrook will serve households across a range of income levels from 30% to 80% AMI. The all-electric building will feature a 333kW rooftop solar array expected to offset approximately 70% of the building’s energy consumption, along with dual elevators, a fitness room, interior bike storage, and an outdoor courtyard with a children’s play area, a pet area, and BBQ and picnic space.

Every apartment will be certified under Colorado State University’s Institute for the Built Environment Lifelong Homes Certification, ensuring the community is designed to support residents of all ages and abilities for the long term.

We’re proud to break ground on a project that reflects our deepest values, and we can’t wait to welcome future residents to their new homes.
